Mit dem Einsatz ihres Körpers in einem ganz existenziellen Sinn ist einer der Schwerpunkte ihres künstlerischen Schaffens benannt; gleichzeitig geht es ihr darum, “eine Gegenwelt zu schaffen, eine Gegenwelt zur Welt unserer Umwelt” – verbunden mit dem Wunsch, dem allzu sehr von Zwängen und Notwendigkeiten Bestimmten etwas hinter der Vernunft Liegendes entgegenzusetzen, nämlich das Surreale.

1986-94 Studium der Bildenden Kunst und Geographie an der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz

1992 Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts, Dijon Frankreich (Diplom National Supérieur d’ Expression Plastique)

1993/94 Erstes Staatsexamen (mit Auszeichnung) im Fach Bildende Kunst, Johannes Gutenberg-Universität ,Mainz

1994-97 Studium der Bildhauerei an der an der Staatlichen Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Karlsruhe bei Prof. Harald Klingelhöller
